Coach's Oats

Have you tried this yet? I love the texture and taste of this oatmeal. In fact, I can only find it on Kauai, Costco to be exact. Last visit to Kauai, I brought some back in my luggage (Santa Cruz Costco does not carry it...) Coach's Oats can be ordered online as well by clicking here. The oats taste great on their own, or you can add yummy toppings like:

  • fruit
  • cinnamon
  • nuts
  • flax seeds
  • honey
  • brown sugar
  • flax oil
  • vanilla

Saturated Fat: 0.5 g.
Cholesterol: 0 mg
Carbohydrates: 27 g.
Sodium: 10 mg.
Fiber: 4 g.

Oatmeal is so nutritious! The soluble fiber (included in the total amount of fiber) from oats helps to lower blood cholesterol levels. I like to think of it as a sponge in the intestines, capturing the "bad" cholesterol and whisking it out of our body! The high fiber content in oats helps keep you feeling full between meals. Oats are also a whole grain, meaning, unlike their white counterpart, they have not been stripped of essential nutrients. These nutrients include folic acid, selenium, and B vitamins.
