Yogurt Parfait

This is a quick, easy and yummy breakfast. I love using fresh blueberries, yet frozen blueberries taste just as delicious. Blueberries are full of health protecting antioxidants. They help prevent chronic disease like cancer and heart disease. Blueberries may also help with memory function! Fage yogurt is a power house in my opinion. It is full of protein and calcium with no added sugar. Nuts are full of fats. But, they're the healthy, mono and polyunsaturated kind, which help lower cholesterol levels and help prevent heart disease. Small portions of nuts can boost energy and beat hunger. Nuts are a perfect snack on their own, but beware of portion sizes as it is easy to over indulge!

Ingredients

1/2 cup fage yogurt
2 tablespoons nuts of your choice; chopped walnuts, chopped almonds, chopped pecans etc.
1/2 cup berries; either blueberries, strawberries, blackberries etc. Can also substitute your favorite fruit

For a fancy, yummy looking breakfast, alternate layers of yogurt, fruit and nuts in clear glass.
